Luis Penate (Sr., Miami, Fla.) earned his first SSC Player of the Week award for his strong play against Southern New Hampshire and then sixth ranked Tampa to earn his second consecutive Moe's Shark Athlete of the Week award. The shortstop batted .500 with three runs and eight RBI. He hit safely in all four games and posted three multiple-hit contests en route to a .632 on-base percentage. Three of his hits were extra-base hits, as he tallied a .929 slugging percentage.
