Rita Koryukova joined the Nova Southeastern swimming staff in 2018, assisting head coach Benjamin Hewitt.
Koryukova was named the University of Sioux Falls Interim Head Coach on Oct. 23, 2017 by USF Director of Athletics Josh Snyder. Koryukova was elevated from her position as a graduate assistant to lead to team in 2016-17.
Interim Head Coach Rita Koryukova, who directed the USF Swimming Program to a 21st place finish at the NCAA DII Championships in just its second season of competition. The Cougars, led by two All-American top-three finishes by freshman Cassie Wright, recorded the best NCAA DII finish among NSIC teams. USF also finished third at the NSIC Swimming & Diving Championships
In her first season with the program, Koryukova helped the Cougars qualify five freshmen for the NCAA Championships in the first year of competition for the USF Swimming.
A native of Omsk, Russia, Koryukova came to USF after a stellar swimming career at NCAA Division II Wingate University in Wingate, N.C. She was an eight-time All-American and won three national championships, taking the 200-yard individual medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay titles in 2016 and the swimming a leg on the 400-yard medley relay championship in 2015.
