Romain Onteniente (Fr., Saint Laurent du Var, France) registered a goal and an assist and defender Joseph Clancy (Sr., Dublin, Ireland) scored in the 88th minute to knot the game as Nova Southeastern (8-5-3, 3-2-3) and Florida Tech (5-8-3, 1-4-2) battled to a 2-2 draw on Friday night, Senior Night for the Sharks.

Florida Tech opened the scoring in the 33rd minute as Brian Lundy scored his second goal of the season for the Panthers, slipping one past Sharks goalkeeper Jarod Rennick (Jr., Allen, Texas).

The score remained 1-0 until Tech was called for a foul inside the 18-yard box. Onteniente promptly converted the penalty kick for his fifth goal of the season.

The Panthers regained the lead in the 81st minute when Greg Kagan (Sr., Newington, Conn.) received a red card and was sent off for a rough slide tackle just outside the 18-yard box. On the ensuing direct free kick, Piers Ockleford booted a shot past Rennick for a 2-1 Panther lead.

With the Sharks down a goal and down a man, Onteniente ran down the middle of the field and connected with Clancy on a pass to the left side of the 18. Clancy then fired the shot past Panthers 'keeper Cory Collins for the 2-2 tie.

Rennick made nine saves while Collins made six.

For NSU, the draw clinches a berth to the Sunshine State Conference Tournament, tabbed to start on Tuesday, October 24. The time, opponent and location are still to be determined.
