Women's Soccer Unable To Get Back Into Win Column Against #3 Tampa

Sharks unable to overcome slow first half start.

Tampa, Fla. (October 4, 2006) - University of Tampa Forward Shelby Kuni scored two goals and Nova Southeastern was outshot 14-2 as the Sharks (8-2, 2-2) lost to the Spartans (10-1, 4-0) by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday night.

Kuni opened the scoring in the fifth minute as she took an NSU turnover and slipped it past NSU goalkeeper Nicole Paquette (Jr., Seminole, Fla.) for an unassisted goal.

12 minutes later, Kuni struck again after receiving a pass from Jocelyn Charette.

NSU midfielder Lauren Huffman (So., Flower Mound, Texas) registered the only shot on goal for the Sharks while Paquette made two saves in the losing effort.

The Sharks will be back in action on Tuesday, October 10 as they host the Lynn University Fighting Knights at the NSU Soccer Complex.
