(September 30, 2006) - Christina Chubb (So., Oakland Park, Fla.) had 18 kills and Melinda Gorman (So., Sarasota, Fla.) had 17 kills and six block assists as Nova Southeastern (6-13, 0-7) nearly overcame a 2-1 deficit at the hands of Barry University (10-5, 5-3), losing 3-2 (30-28, 28-30, 24-30, 30-23, 15-17).
Game five was a see-saw battle that finally ended when Barry setter Maria Romanowski registered a service ace.
Nicole Castera led the charge for the Buccaneers with 20 kills while Lauren Evans and Jentry Redinger registered 23 and 21 kills, respectively.
For the Sharks, Megan Johansen (Sr., Arlington, Neb.) tallied 55 set assists and 12 digs while Itza Miranda (Sr., Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) earned 15 digs.
