Sam Litchfield scored two goals and Hugh Davey tallied two assists, one on a corner kick and another on a free kick, as the Embry-Riddle Eagles (4-7-2) defeated the Nova Southeastern Sharks (9-5-1) by a score of 6-0 on Saturday night at the NSU Soccer Complex.
Matthias Klatt opened the scoring in the 27th minute, following Daveys corner kick.
Litchfield would score in the 43rd minute, giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
Embry-Riddle would pour it on in the second half, scoring four goals.
For the game, the Eagles outshot NSU 17-13 and held a 3-0 corner kick advantage over the Sharks.
Eagles' goalkeeper Ian Levine made five saves for the clean sheet while Jarod Rennick (Sr., Allen, Texas) made eight saves in a losing effort.
The Nova Southeastern men's soccer team will return to action on Tuesday, October 23 as they travel to Melbourne, Fla. to take on the Florida Tech Panthers at 4pm.
