WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (November 21, 2007) - Amber Bishko (Sr., Orlando, Fla.) led the Sharks with 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting as Nova Southeastern (1-2) defeated the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish (1-3) by a score of 82-62 on Wednesday night at PBA's Rubin Arena.

The game got off to a close start as the teams combined for four lead changes in the first half. When a Bishko jumper tied the game at 17-17, however, the Sharks would go on a 10-5 run.

An Ashley Wilson (Sr., Coral Springs, Fla.) layup and two Bishko jumpers, the second of which coming with three seconds left, gave the Sharks a 33-27 lead at halftime.

Bishko scored 10 points in the first half while the Sharks shot 42.9 percent from the field.

NSU began to pull away at the beginning of the second with back-to-back threes by Eliza Allen (Jr., Hegenheim, France).

The Sharks put the nail in the coffin with 12 minutes remaining as they scored on three straight possessions. Allen found Abbie Tepe (Fr., Cincinnati, Ohio) on a backdoor cut for an easy layup followed by a reverse lay-in by Allen. Bishko got the final two points in the run as Tepe intercepted a Melissa Perez pass and found Bishko open for a fastbreak layup for a 55-38 lead.

NSU would then pull its starters and coast to an 82-62 victory.

For the game, NSU shot 46.3 percent from the field on 31-of-67. The Sharks also shot 50 percent from downtown on 9-of-18 shooting.

Allen and Wilson scored 13 and 12 points, respectively while LaShawnna Edwards (So., North Miami Beach, Fla.) added 10 off the bench. Tepe nearly finished with a double-double as she scored nine points to go along with eight assists. Brittany Green (Sr., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) also chipped in with seven points and seven rebounds.

The Sharks outrebounded PBA 34-21 and had a 21-12 assist to turnover ratio. NSU also forced 18 turnovers.

The game also had a family flair as NSU's Priscilla Perez (Fr., Miami, Fla.), who finished with three points, three assists and two steals, was matched up against PBA's Melissa Perez, her older sister.

NSU will return to action on Saturday, November 24 as they will travel to St. Augustine, Fla. to face the Flagler College Saints.
