Tampa, Fla. (August 26, 2007) - Lauren Prow (Fr., Valparaiso, Ind.)  scored her first collegiate goal in the first game of her career but it  was not enough as the Nova Southeastern Sharks (0-1) lost its  season-opener against the fourth-ranked Tampa Spartans (2-0).
 Play remained even until the 36th minute when Shelby Kuni, the 2005 SSC  Freshman of the Year, came off the bench for the Spartans and scored the  first goal of the game after receiving a pass from Courtney Evans.    
 Evans would tally another assist nine minutes later after Nicole Murphy  hit the back of the net following an Evans corner kick.    
 In NSU's comeback attempt, Prow broke through for the Sharks, scoring in  the 86th minute following a pass from Stephanie Quinones (Jr., Pembroke  Pines, Fla.).    
 NSU, though, ran out of time as they were held to three shots on goal by  the Spartans' stifling defense.    
 Sharks' goalkeeper Megan Kim (So., Valrico, Fla.) made five saves in a  losing effort while Shannon Aitken made two.    
 Tampa outshot NSU 10-6 while committing nine fouls to the Sharks' six.     
 NSU will be back in action on Friday, August 31 as they take on Harding  University (Ark.) in a key south regional matchup in what will be the  Sharks' home opener at 8pm.
