FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--The Nova Southeastern University Sharks (1-3) women’s soccer team fell to the 14th-ranked Embry Riddle Eagles (5-1) Sunday night 1-0 at the NSU Soccer Complex.

The lone goal of the game came from Martine Olsen in the 19th minute. Olsen, received a pass from teammate Valerie Obita on the right side, which she booted into the right-corner of the net for the score. Olsen’s goal was her eighth of the year.

The Eagles had 14 total shots to NSU’s 11. The Sharks had plenty of opportunities especially late in the second half, but were unable to connect in their late second half surge.

NSU keeper Chrissy Hy (So., Pembroke Pines, Fla.) saved six shots in the game.

Nova Southeastern returns to the pitch again at the NSU Soccer Complex Tuesday, Sept. 14 to face the Northwood Seahawks at 5 pm.
