FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.
– The Nova Southeastern volleyball team (5-17, 1-9 SSC) will host the Barry University Buccaneers (9-12, 1-9 SSC) Tuesday evening, at the NSU Arena, in the 11th conference match of the season for both squads. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.

The match against the Bucs will be the third home match in five days for the Sharks, having knocked off Central Oklahoma, while falling to Eckerd. The Sharks have already racked up 21 kills during the current homestand and will look to add to that total Tuesday.

Molly Sigerich (Sr., Downers Grove, Ill.) paces the Sharks with 70 total blocks this season, including 16 solo efforts. NSU currently has 170 blocks as a team this season, good for a 2.15 per set average.

On offense, Danielle Graham (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio) leads the Sharks with 213 kills this season after notching 24 in the two matches over the weekend. Her 2.70 kills per set average bests Anabely Escarpita (Sr., Boca Raton, Fla.) (2.63) by only a slight margin.

The Bucs are losers of five straight since knocking off Davis & Elkins and Shepherd at the Pepsi Bash at the Beach. Barry most recently dropped conference matches to Tampa and Florida Southern, Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Barry relies heavily on Tania Torres and Mariana Lisboa for its offense, as the pair averages a combined 6.52 kills per set. Mima Hajdukovic has also been an important member of the Bucs 2011 team, ranking in the top 10 in the conference in assists (6.91), as well as service aces (0.31) per set.

The Sharks will be looking to make one final push this season as only five matches remain after Tuesday. NSU will go on the road to Lynn, Florida Tech and Tampa before returning home to finish the season against Florida Southern and Rollins.
