FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern women’s volleyball team (4-22, 1-9 SSC) hit the road this weekend to take on the Rollins Tars (14-12, 5-5 SSC) in Sunshine State Conference action Saturday, Nov. 3 in Winter Park, Fla. at 4 p.m.
The Sharks are coming off a tough, 3-1 loss to the Lynn Fighting Knights and are looking for a rebound in the win column against the Rollins Tars.
In the Sharks last confrontation with the Tars, earlier in the season, the Sharks struggled offensively as they have most of the season, but there were moments of brilliance from some of the young rookies. Freshman
Caitlin Donahue (Miami, Fla.) led the Sharks in kills, hitting percentage and total points.
Rachel Woodson (Sr., Rogers, Ark.) finished second in kills and hitting percentage, while
Sydney Cook (Fr., Miami, Fla.) added six points.
Rollins finished the Sharks in three straight by outhitting NSU .263 to .107. Rollins’ outside hitter Camille Indest led all hitters in the match with 14 kills and a .478 hitting percentage.
