FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern women’s volleyball team (4-23, 1-10 SSC) returns to the NSU Arena for their first home match in 17 days, to take on conference foe Barry (14-11, 6-6 SSC) on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
The Sharks look to end their losing streak against a team they fell to in five sets earlier this season. On Oct. 2 on the road in Miami Shores, Fla., NSU took a 2-0 set lead by consecutive scores of 25-22, but Barry won the final three 25-20, 26-24, 15-9.
Four NSU players had double digits in kills in the match.
Sydney Cook (Fr., Miami, Fla.) had a team-high 19, followed by
Dana Holger (Fr., Lino Lakes, Minn.) with 16, plus 12 digs.
Samantha High (Jr., Naples, Fla.) had 14 kills, and
Caitlin Donahue (Fr., Miami, Fla.) added 11.
Paige Boivin (Sr., Plainfield, Ill.) had the high in digs for both teams, with 21.
Barry’s Ashley Carrero was the night’s top hitter, with 27 kills and a hitting percentage of .490.
