FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women’s volleyball team (4-24, 1-11 SSC) heads into the stretch run of the season with two tough back-to-back road matches this weekend.
On Friday, Nov. 9, the Sharks take on the University of Tampa (23-3, 12-0 SSC), ranked seventh overall, and first in the South Region, with first serve at 7 p.m. It doesn’t get any easier on Saturday, when at 4 p.m., the team faces the South Region’s number two team, the Eckerd Tritons (19-7, 10-2 SSC).
NSU played these two squads back-to-back earlier this year as well, on Oct. 5 and 6, falling in both in straight sets. On that Friday against Eckerd, it was 25-19, 25-21, 25-15. The following day, they lost to Tampa, 25-13, 25-17, 25-17.
Following this doubleheader, the Sharks have two home matches to end the season, Nov. 16 and 17 against Saint Leo and Florida Southern, respectively.
