FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern alum Darryl Gordon has signed with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League (NASL).
Gordon, who has professional experience playing for Wr. Viktoria in Vienna, Austria, will join former NSU teammate Aly Hassan, a forward for the Strikers.
"Darryl is a strong, fast defender," said Strikers Head Coach Günter Kronsteiner. "He is a very hard worker and is capable of playing multiple defensive positions."
Gordon played in 73 games over four years at NSU, logging a total of 3,972 minutes played. He was a versatile player for NSU, with career totals of 11 goals and seven assists. As a pro, Gordon will be listed as one of seven defenders on the Strikers.
Gordon could make his Strikers debut as early as Saturday, April 12 at Lockhart Stadium against Ottawa Fury FC.
