Women's Soccer Has Three Chosen as NSCAA All-Region

Lelii and Niedermeyer are joined in recognition by true freshman Stearns

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Nova Southeastern University women's soccer team continues to earn postseason notoriety, with three members – Sierra Lelii, Cydney Niedermeyer and Emily Stearns – designated as All-South Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

For the second time this week, the combination of Lelii (R-Sr., Seminole, Fla.) and Niedermeyer (Jr., Fort Myers, Fla.) were chosen as First Team All-Region, this time by the votes of NSCAA member coaches from the South. In addition on Wednesday, freshman Stearns (Orlando, Fla.) earned the first All-Region honor of her young career, selected to the South Region Third Team, after a debut season in which she ranked third on the team with four goals, second with four assists, and tied for second with 12 points. She also led the Sharks in shot percentage at .308 and had two game-winning goals.

Next on the docket for the NSCAA awards is the DII All-American announcement, expected on or around Dec. 3.
