Megan Burns sets new single-season record in digs with a total of 620.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.Megan Burns set a new school record but the NSU volleyball team was unable to stop the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish from grabbing their 24th consecutive win, as the Sharks fell in straight sets to the host team on Tuesday evening. The loss puts NSU at 11-16 on the season, while the Sailfish improve to 24-3.

Katie Pyles contributed 31 assists to go along with 11 digs and Tashlyn Begon had six kills.

The Sharks started strong in the first set, grabbing a 7-3 lead before the Sailfish responded with a run of their own to take back the lead, 11-9. The two teams continued to battle, and the Sharks were able to knot things up 13-13, before the Sailfish took off on an 8-1 run en route to a 25-17 win.

Down 3-0 in the second, the Sharks rallied back to even the score, and the teams exchanged points, staying within three points of each other late into the set. Tied at 19-19, PBA recorded six consecutive points to take the second set, 25-19.

The two teams were neck-and-neck throughout the majority of the third set until at 14-14 PBA went on a 7-1 run to take the lead 21-15, and with a strong offense, the Sailfish grabbed the third set, 25-18, and the overall win.
