FORT LAUDERDALE – The Nova Southeastern University men's soccer team (0-1-0) is looking to rebound after a season-opening loss to Mississippi College when they travel south to neighboring Miami to face the St. Thomas Bobcats on their home field on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Tonight's game will be the 36th meeting between the two teams. NSU leads the series 22-10-3. Last season, the Sharks hosted St. Thomas at the NSU Soccer Complex and pulled out a 1-0 victory over the Bobcats.
In the Sharks' last outing, they hosted the MC Choctaws at the NSU Soccer Complex. NSU held the attacking advantage over the Choctaws throughout the game posting 15 shots to MC's 6 and seven corner kicks to two. But it was the Chocs who capitalized on the few scoring opportunities they had to take the 2-0 win over NSU.
Coming into the game, St. Thomas is sporting a 0-1-1 record. Although the Bobcats picked up an exhibition win over ASA College 2-0, they have since tied with RV Georgia Gwinnett College 0-0 and lost to Middle Georgia College 2-1.
