HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Still scoreless in the 42nd minute, Tampa grabbed the match's first lead when Felipe DeSousa converted an assist from Monty Berrow for his third goal of the season.
- Barely a minute later, Berrow made things worse for the Sharks, this time finding the back of the net himself to give the Spartans a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.
- The Sharks searched for answers, yet struggled all night gaining any sort of traction on the offensive end. Youssef Abougendia's shot attempt sailed wide right in the 63rd minute, but Nova Southeastern would manage just one more shot the rest of the way before Tampa added a late score just prior to the final whistle.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Each of the Spartans' three goals were scored by different players.
- The Sharks are now 2-4 in true road matches this season.
STATS OF THE NIGHT:
- Sharks' goalkeeper Nico Rosiglioni recorded four saves in the losing effort.
- Nova Southeastern managed three shots on the night as opposed to 12 by Tampa.
