HOW IT HAPPENED:

SET 1 | The Sharks had all the momentum early in the first set, grabbing as much as an 11-5 lead before the Bucs called for a timeout. Barry returned to the floor with the momentum, instead, and stole the lead 13-11, and held onto that lead until an ace by Samantha Blasko put the Sharks back in front, 17-16. A kill by Kaelyn Brock and a Barry error gave the Sharks a 21-19 edge as Barry called timeout. Heading down the stretch, BC used back-to-back points to grab game point. NSU was able to halt Barry from winning three more times but the Bucs eventually ended up on top, 29-27.

SET 2 | NSU held a 6-4 edge before the Bucs exploded on a 6-0 run to take a 10-6 lead and never look back. The Sharks were able to put up four consecutive points to come within four, 17-13, capped with an ace by Jane Early, but that would be the closest they would get as Barry went on to win 25-14.

SET 3 | Similar to the first set, the Sharks were hot to start, taking a 12-5 lead before the Bucs started to chip away at NSU's lead. At 17-14 in NSU's favor, Barry used a 6-0 run to earn a 20-17 edge. A kill by Brock brought the Sharks within one, 21-20, but a 4-1 run by the Bucs ended the match with Barry on top. 25-21.
