HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Picking up where she left off following a goal and an assist in her collegiate debut on Friday, Edwards opened the scoring for the Sharks in the 19th minute, heading home a well-played cross from Monica Orteu.
  • The fun was just getting started as Edwards and the Sharks continued to press forward and make life difficult for Felician. Just over seven minutes later, the freshman cleaned up Nicole Staley's deflected shot, drilling the rebound into the back of the net to double the lead.
  • Nova Southeastern showed a bit of a new-look lineup to begin the second half, but still had no trouble controlling the pace. In front by the same 2-0 cushion in the 51st minute, Kaitlyn Chomko notched her first assist by hooking up with Haizlip to add to the advantage.
  • As if three goals weren't enough, Corbin added the icing on the cake in 85th minute. Shifted more up top from her usual backline role, the senior benefitted from another Staley assist, burying a screaming shot into the lower left corner of the net.

STATS OF THE NIGHT:
  • The Sharks dominated play by outshooting Felician by a whopping 36-1 margin, the largest shot margin since Nova Southeastern officially joined NCAA Division II.
  • Nova Southeastern's 36 shots on Sunday were the most recorded since the Sharks tallied 38 against Florida Memorial back on September 15, 2015.
  • Continuing the trend, the Sharks 18 shots on goal were the most since recording 19 versus Eckerd on October 30, 2012.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
  • Head coach John Constable played four goalkeepers on Sunday, including three freshmen in Sarah Aikens, Shannon Hearty and Anna Keffer.
  • With their second home win in the early portion of the season, the Sharks extended their program-record, home unbeaten streak to 17 matches.
  • By adding two more goals in the victory, Edwards now currently leads the Sunshine State Conference in both goals (3) and points (7).

WINNING WORDS:
  • "We all played together as a team. Everyone did their part and I'm proud of our performance." – Bailey Corbin.
  • "I was goal-hungry today, I really wanted it. I was just excited to be out there with my team. It was hot, but we kept pushing." – Elizabeth Haizlip
