HOW IT HAPPENED:

ST QUARTER | The Fighting Knights and the Sharks exchanged baskets to knot the game, 2-2, at the 8:51 mark, before a layup by Lynn's Kelsi Fizer gave the home team back the lead. The Sharks trailed the Fighting Knights for the remainder of the quarter before a three-pointer by Claire McMahon gave NSU its first lead of the game, 24-22.

ND QUARTER | After a minute and a half of scoreless play, McMahon netterd the first basket of the quarter before a layup by LU's Janay Williams brought the deficit back down to two points, 26-24, at the 8:15 mark. The Sharks then started a 10-4 run over the next three and a half minutes, taking their largest lead of the game thus far at 36-28 with back-to-back three-pointers by Mikayla Thompson and Claire McMahon. A jumper by the Knights once again cut NSU's lead to just two points, 36-34, with three minutes left in the quarter, but another basket at the buzzer by the Sharks, this time a layup by Jordan Tully, kept Lynn at bay by five points, 41-36, heading into halftime.

RD QUARTER | Returning to the court, the Sharks meant business for the first three minutes of play, taking off on a 10-0 run for a 51-36 edge. Besides a pair of free throws by McMahon, the Sharks were unable to make a field goal over the 2:16 as Maria Bardeeva ended their drought with a layup for a 55-43 lead. NSU continued to hold their double-digit lead throughout the rest of the frame, as a three-pointer by McMahon, her fourth of the game, gave the Sharks a 17-point lead (64-47).

TH QUARTER | The two teams were back and forth with scoring to start the final quarter, before an and-one by Katie Barnard and a layup by Tully gave the Sharks their first 20-point lead of the game, 69-49 with 6:50 on the clock. Lynn used a 12-7 to bring Nova Southeastern's lead back down to 15 with 2:25 to go, but that would be as close as they would get as the Sharks used the remaining time to use a 7-0 run to close out the game on top, 83-61.
