HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Sharks faced an uphill battle just over 10 minutes into the contest after Fred Ferreira scored his first of two goals on the evening to put the Sailfish on the board, 1-0.
  • Aleks Berg came inches from equalizing in the 14th minute, only to have his attempt ricochet off the left post.
  • Adding insult to injury, a mere 2:07 later, the near-miss was followed up with another PBA score – this time by Twan Nieboer.
  • The left post once again kept the Sharks scoreless, as Odei Arrieta clanked an attempt off the iron in the 28th minute.
  • In the 33rd minute, PBA's Federico Serra notched his third goal of the season to extend the Sailfish lead.
  • Although the Sharks forced considerable pressure in the second half, racking up nine shots, PBA would tack on one more goal in the 65th minute en route to the eventual 4-0 final.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
  • Both of NSU's losses this season have come against ranked opponents.
  • Prior to Wednesday, the Sharks hadn't surrendered four goals in a match since doing so on the road at PBA on Oct. 11, 2017.
