WINTER PARK, Fla. – The 17
th ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Volleyball team completed a three-set sweep over Rollins in Sunshine State Conference play on Friday evening from the Warden Arena.
Jordan Chessar led the NSU offense, recording a season-high 10 kills in the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sharks began the match trailing 1-5, following a 5-0 run by Rollins. Elizabeth Price stalled the RC rally with her first kill of the match.
- Back-to-back service aces from Preslee Brooksbank led a 4-0 run by Nova Southeastern, which tied the match 13-13.
- Jordan Chessar recorded a service ace to give NSU an 18-17 advantage.
- Nova Southeastern reached set point following two consecutive kills from Chessar, leading 24-20.
- Rollins was able to tie the first set, as RC took advantage of four NSU errors.
- The Sharks sealed the set win, capitalizing off of two RC errors, 26-24.
- McKenna Tucek started a 7-0 rally for Nova Southeastern in the second set, tallying three points with two coming from service aces.
- Price halted a 5-0 run for Rollins with another kill, putting the score at 10-7.
- Aleyna Kennel recorded a service ace to give the Sharks a 15-8 lead.
- Chessar continued her roll with the final two kills of the second set, as NSU won the set 25-18.
- Kennel added two more service aces in the early stages of the third set, giving the Sharks a 4-0 lead.
- Julia Bernardes notched a kill to extend the NSU advantage to 11-5.
- Rollins began to rally, but once again, Price snuffed the RC run with a kill, putting the score at 17-14 in favor of the Sharks.
- Trailing 19-21, following a 7-2 run by Rollins, Chessar tied the match with a service ace.
- NSU recorded the final four points of the match, sealing the match sweep with a 25-23 third set win.
PLAYOFF PICTURE
With five matches remaining in the regular season, Nova Southeastern (13-2) currently sits half-a-game behind the Spartans of Tampa (13-1). NSU is 1.5 games ahead of the third-place Embry-Riddle Eagles.
