FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Despite outscoring Embry-Riddle in the second half, the Sharks' efforts fell just short, dropping a Sunshine State Conference game 61-57 against the Eagles on Sunday afternoon from the Rick Case Arena. In the game, Grace Gilmore recorded her 1000th career collegiate point.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

1ST QUARTER – The Eagles opened the game with a 10-0 run, when Grace Gilmore scored three consecutive buckets for the Sharks, putting the score at 14-7. McKenah Peters converted an and-one, bringng NSU back within four points. Kyarrah Grant tied the game at 14-14, capping a 14-4 run for Nova Southeastern.  

2ND QUARTER – Peters scored seven straight points, including hitting back-to-back three pointers, putting the score at 26-20. Grant added a three-point make of her own to bring the score to 28-24, with less than four minutes remaining in the first half. Nova Southeastern went into the halftime break trailing ERAU 37-29.  

3RD QUARTER – Gilmore also got the scoring started for NSU in the second half, recording a fastbreak lay-up after adding a steal to her line score. Peters, Gilmore, and Grant all hit a three-pointer to put the score at 44-40 with less than three minutes left in the third. NSU cut the deficit to 51-46 as the game shifted to the fourth quarter.  

4TH QUARTER – Peters opened the fourth quarter with the first five points for NSU, putting the Sharks within striking distance, trailing 55-51. With two minutes remaining in the Sunshine State Conference match-up, the Sharks weren't able to get the lead and dropped the SSC tilt 61-57.
