BOCA RATON, FLA. - Nova Southeastern Women's Basketball began their Sunshine State Conference schedule with a road win over Lynn. The Sharks were led by Hailey Conley (14 points) and Kyannah Grant (13 points), the win keeps NSU's undefeated season alive and brings their overall record to 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half- Madison Frederick got it started for the Sharks, knocking down a three-pointer, thanks to a beautiful find by Kyannah Grant. A'lexus Bryant then came down and scored a layup in the ensuing possession to give the Sharks a quick 5-0 lead. At the midway point of the 1st quarter, Frederick made another three-pointer, starting a run for NSU. Hailey Conley capped off the run with a layup, giving NSU an eight-point lead. The Knights made a late push, cutting the Shark lead to one at the end of the 1st quarter. Lynn came out aggressive, scoring the first seven points of the second quarter but a layup by Kyannah Grant stopped the Knight's run. Most of the quarter was a back-and-forth battle but Conley kept the Sharks in the game. She scored the last six points of the half for NSU, tying the game at 31 a piece heading into the break.
Second Half- Kyarrah Grant and Conley got off to a quick start, scoring the first four points of the quarter for the Sharks. Halfway through the 3rd quarter, Sarei McGill was able to give NSU their biggest lead of the quarter, knocking down a jump shot to bring the Shark lead to five. NSU held on to the lead, finishing the third quarter with a 52-49 lead. The final quarter was all NSU. The Sharks jumped out to an 11-0 run, fueled by points from Conley, Frederick, and Zeyno Seren. After the Knights stopped the run, Mackenzie Steele and India Shepherd knocked down three-pointers on back-to-back possessions to give the Sharks a 15-point lead. NSU continued to keep their foot on the gas pedal, outscoring Lynn 20 to 7 in the fourth quarter. The Sharks closed out the victory 72-56, earning their seventh consecutive win.
