FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The second-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks improved to a perfect 11-0 on the 2022-23 season, defeating Florida Tech 105-75 in Sunshine State Conference action on Thursday evening from the Rick Case Arena. NSU scored 100+ points for the seventh consecutive game and ninth time on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half – NSU was aggressive on both ends of the court from the opening tip, as Jonathan Pierre opened the game with a three-pointer. Moments later, Kobe Rodgers added a three-point bucket of his own as the Sharks led 7-1 in the first minute of the contest. Jake Maranville made his return to the lineup for NSU and put Nova Southeastern ahead 15-3 at the 16-minute media timeout. Later in the half, Mike Moore hit his first three-pointer of the game, extending the NSU advantage to 20-6. Midway through the first half, the Sharks maintained a 26-13 lead over the Panthers. Will Yoakum, following a steal from Ryan Davis, converted an and-one opportunity, as NSU led 40-21 with less than six minutes remaining in the half. Nova Southeastern went into the halftime break leading Florida Tech 58-33.
Second Half – Graziani recorded a three-point make to open the scoring for the Sharks in the second half and added another bucket, which put the Sharks ahead 67-41. Nova Southeastern maintained at least a 20-point lead for the majority of the half, keeping the Panthers offense in check with an unrelenting defensive effort. Rodgers put the Sharks ahead 91-61 with around six minutes remaining in the game. Tommy Sala added a basket, as Nova Southeastern crossed the 100-point mark for the seventh consecutive game. No. 2 NSU extended its winning streak to 11, defeating Florida Tech 105-75.
