FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –
Eddie Puisis drained eight three-pointers, surpassing 1,000 career points in the process, while
RJ Sunahara registered 22 points and three blocks, as top-seeded Nova Southeastern earned a wire-to-wire, 89-77 victory over Florida Tech in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament quarterfinal round on Tuesday. With the win, the Sharks will now advance to Thursday's semifinal round, where they'll square off against fourth-seeded Florida Southern.

- Sylla notched his 17th double double of the season with 18 points – 14 in the second half – and 10 boards.
- Moore scored in double figures for the third straight game, netting 13 points in a career-high 37 minutes.
- NSU won the rebound battle by a margin of 40-34.
- The two teams combined to shoot just 23 free throws in the ball game.
