Rodgers’ Heroics Send NSU to Sweet 16

Freshman Kobe Rodgers scores game-winner with 0.5 seconds left

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – He'd done it once before this season. The magnitude this time around, though, was just a tad a bit larger as freshman Kobe Rodgers beat the buzzer to send still unbeaten Nova Southeastern to the Sweet 16 with a memorable 81-80 win over Union on Sunday. The Sharks overcame a 19-point, first-half deficit in the crazy finish and will now advance to the NCAA South Region Tournament title game for just the second time in program history. RJ Sunahara scored 18 of his team-high 24 points in the second half to go along with 21 points and five assists from point guard Nick Smith.
