HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP 2
nd | An unearned run allowed Lynn to pull back even at the end of the first inning. However, NSU would respond with four in the second, all coming with two outs, to take command of the ball game. A run-scoring single off the bat of
Ryleigh Langwell turned into two following a Lynn error before a
Tia Williams two-run single into center opened up a 5-1 advantage for the Sharks.
TOP 4
th | Langwell added another RBI in the fourth, which was then followed by a Langwell-Williams double steal that allowed the Sharks to extend the margin the 7-1.
BOT 7
th |
Sydney Lageyre tacked on the top of the seventh with an RBI single that scored
Haley Hendricks. The eight-run proved more than plenty for Connor, who retired the final seven batters she faced in her 10
th win of the season.
