HOW IT HAPPENED

TOP 3RD | The Sharks capitalized on a pair of Sailfish errors to score the first run of the contest, as Adam Smith came across following a sacrifice bunt from Bryce Hazzard. Later in the inning, Duncan Pastore brought in Alex Hernandez with a sacrifice fly, extending the NSU lead to 2-0.

BOTTOM 4TH | Omans held the Sailfish offense at Bay the first turn through the lineup, but PBA got on the scoreboard with a solo home run, which wound up being the only offense generated by Palm Beach Atlantic in the finale.

BOTTOM 7TH | Matt Kavanaugh relieved Omans and struck out the first two batters he faced, before working around a two-out single to maintain the NSU lead.

TOP 9TH | Back-to-back walks from Daniel Irisarri and Nik Sanders, followed by a wild pitch, put two runners in scoring position for NSU and gave the Sharks an opportunity to pad their lead. Tyler Epstein came through with a two RBI single, with two outs, putting Nova Southeastern in front 4-1.

BOTTOM 9TH | Michael Dillon entered the game out of the bullpen, looking to complete the three-game sweep for the Sharks and the reliever did just that, striking out a pair, as NSU finished off the sweep of the Sailfish with a 4-1 victory.
