FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – After being all tied up 0-0 at half, the Sharks were able to find their footing on offense in the second half. After goals from Alberto Rentero and Milos Christoforou, Nova Southeastern was able to take down Florida Southern in their first SSC match of the 2022 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· Early in the match, Tommy Maguire and Giovanni Ciocca Vasino tried to get the Sharks on the scoreboard, but both of their shot attempts were knocked away by the Moccasins' goalkeeper.
· Throughout the remainder of the first half, both defenses were on full display, with the Sharks being able to get 2 shots on goal, and the Moccasins getting only 1 shot on goal.
· In the 68th minute, the Sharks' offense were able to fire one in. Thanks to an assist from Nick Brisevac, Alberto Rentero was able to find the back of the net, making it 1-0 Sharks.
· NSU added on to its lead in the 81st minute after Milos Christoforou was able to get one past the Moccasins' goalkeeper, making it 2-0. Christoforou was assisted by Giovanni Ciocca Vasino.
· The Moccasins cut their deficit in half after they were able to sneak one past Michael Steckmest, making the score 2-1 Sharks in the 85th minute.
· The Sharks' defense handled business for the final 5 minutes to secure the victory.
STATS OF THE MATCH
· Nova Southeastern out-shot Florida Southern 11-4, including outshooting them 7-3 on shot-on-goal attempts.
· Seven different Sharks attempted a shot-on-goal.
