MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The No. 2 ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks opened play at the ITA South Regional Championships on Friday.

DOUBLES:

• The No. 1 seeded duo of Natalie Espinal and Fatima Bizhukova won their opening matchup against Laura Vetter and Laura Pisini (8-4)
• The pair followed with a victory over Guadalupe Martinez and Raissa Wagner (8-2).
• The duo then won its quarterfinal matchup against No. 8 Georgina Groth and Milla Falster (8-3) and currently stand in the semifinal.
• Eva Goncharov and Julie Razafindranaly won their opening matchup (8-0) before falling in the Round of 32 against Embry-Riddle's Blanco and Cabero del Hierro (8-4).

SINGLES:

• Razafindranaly took down Marie Guillaume (6-1, 6-2),
• Bizhukova defeated Anine Wilberg (6-1, 6-3),
• Espinal grabbed the victory against Natalie Kohoutkova (6-2, 7-6)
• R32: Razafindranaly secured the win against Olivia Bryant (6-1, 6-3)
•  Bizhukova beat Luiza Daud (6-1, 6-1).
• Eva Goncharov knocked off the No. 7 seed, Tampa's Raquel Amaro. 
• Goncharov then followed with a (6-4, 6-7 [10-4]) victory over Olivia Pezo in the third round.
