HOW IT HAPPENED

First Quarter - The Sharks jumped out to quick 8-0 run, featuring buckets from Kyannah Grant, Kyarrah Grant, and Mackenzie Steele. Barry answered and got within 5 towards the end of the quarter. Shortly after Madison Frederick knocked down a three-pointer and India Shepherd made a jump shot to give NSU a 10-point lead at the end of the first quarter.

Second Quarter – The Sharks picked up right where they left off, going on a 9-0 run which was capped off by a Hailey Conley layup, extending their lead to 27-9. NSU kept their foot on the gas pedal the rest of the quarter, taking a commanding 22-point lead heading into the break.

Third Quarter – The Bucs scored four quick points to start the second half, but a jump shot by Frederick stopped Barry's early push. Midway through the quarter Kyarrah Grant converted back-to-back layups to bring the Sharks lead to 57-36. The Bucs managed to cut into the deficit, bringing the Shark lead to 15 heading into the final frame.

Fourth Quarter – The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth battle between both teams. Three minutes into the quarter, Barry got as close as 7 but NSU's strong team effort was too much for the Bucs. With just under four minutes remaining in the game, Suzan Kinran knocked down a three-pointer which was ultimately the dagger, propelling the Sharks to victory. Nova Southeastern takes down Barry 78-69 in today's SSC showdown.
