Salvadego Leads Sharks Past #13 Tars

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Men's Soccer team earned their third straight win, taking down #13 ranked Rollins in Wednesday night's SSC showdown. The Sharks were led by two goals from Alessandro Salvadego and one goal from Marco Gueli

How it Happened

  • Rollins struck first with a goal in the 10th minute, taking the early 1-0 lead. 

  • After a scoreless first half, the Sharks came out aggressive in the second half. Gueli put the first Sharks goal on board, thanks to an assist from Santiago Marengo

  • 20 seconds later, Salvadego lasered a shot into the back of the net (assisted by Zyan Andrade), giving NSU a 2-0 lead. 

  • NSU's goal barrage wasn't done yet, Salvadego would score his second goal of the match in the 63rd minute (assisted by Marco Gueli), extending the Sharks lead to 3-1. 

  • The Tars managed to sneak a goal into the net in the 84th minute, cutting their deficit to one. 

  • Despite the late push by Rollins, the Sharks defense stayed aggressive and secured the victory. Nova Southeastern takes down #13 Rollins 3-2 in tonight's SSC matchup. 

   

Coach's Corner

Head Coach Matt Watts – First half we started slow but we reacted well after going down a goal early and responded brilliantly in the second half. The boys are confident, happy and playing well. Undefeated in four and three wins in a row is massive but we need to keep working. We haven't accomplished anything yet.

What's Next

Nova Southeastern is back in action on Wednesday, October 25th at 7:00 PM at home against Saint Leo.
