FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Despite a strong offensive attack from the Sharks, it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit in the overtime thriller against the Mocs. Nova Southeastern falls in the SSC quarterfinals against Florida Southern 2-1.

In the 27th minute, Dani Correa got the Sharks on the board, after firing one into the back of the net after a beautiful setup pass from Sofia Suarez, putting the Sharks up 1-0.

The Mocs were able to even it up at 1-1 in the 33rd minute.

Stefane Rosa made multiple huge saves in the final twenty minutes of the second half to keep the match tied.

Both goalkeepers and defenses were lockdown in the second half, leading the match to go into overtime.

In the 97th minute, the Mocs scored after being awarded a penalty kick, making it 2-1.

The Sharks battled until the last second but were unable to knot it up.
