MELBOURNE, Fla. - In a highly anticipated matchup between two SSC foes, the Sharks had their season end, dropping tonight's NCAA third-round matchup against the Florida Tech Panthers.

Florida Tech struck early, lasering a shot into the back of the net two minutes into the match.

Shortly after, the Panthers had a good look at the net, but it was saved by Stefane Rosa.

At the 37th minute, the Panthers would strike again, extending their lead to 2-0.

Florida Tech picked up where they left off in the first half, scoring another goal in the 51st minute.

The Sharks weren't backing down yet, Jordyn Pitter knocked a shot into the goal in the 68th minute, cutting the Sharks deficit to 3-1.

Both teams continued to hunker down defensively the rest of the half, with Florida Tech ultimately securing the South Region Championship over the Sharks 3-1.
