FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Softball team completes the doubleheader sweep against Rollins on Saturday afternoon. In game one, Alexis Smith hit a two-run home run, propelling the Sharks to a 12-3 victory. The Sharks came back in game two and secured the 4-2 win with a three-run first inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
BOT 1st | Alexis Smith was walked in the first at-bat, she then stole for second base shortly after. Langwell singled to left field, bringing in the first run of the game. With two runners on base, Tia Williams singled, bringing two runs across home plate and giving NSU a 3-0 lead. NSU wasn't done yet, bringing home one more run, thanks to a sacrifice fly by Madison Fine.
BOT 2nd | Langwell earned another RBI, this time bringing Alyssa Drogemuller home and increasing the Sharks lead to 5-0.
TOP 3rd | The Tars homered, giving themselves their first run of the game.
BOT 4th | Smith kept her hitting streak alive, this time hitting a two-run home run, extending the Shark lead to seven runs. In a bases loaded situation, Kerstyn Shaw batted in another run, bringing the score to an 8-1 NSU lead. The Sharks were able to score two more runs off of the Tars errors. An RBI from Samantha Burke and a sacrifice fly from Smith capped off a seven-run inning.
TOP 5th | Rollins was able to tack on two more runs but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback, NSU secured the 12-3 SSC win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
BOT 1st | Alexis Smith and Alyssa Drogemuller stole a base on back-to-back at- bats, putting runners on second and third for NSU. Ryleigh Langwell was walked, and in the next at-bat, Williams lined out but not before a run came across home plate. Kerstyn Shaw singled to center field and brought home two runs, giving NSU an early 3-0 lead.
TOP 4th | The Tars were able to bat a run in off of a double.
BOT 5th | Shaw brought another run across home plate, bringing the score to 4-1.
TOP 6th | The Tars were able to add another run on the board, but it wasn't enough, NSU secures the 4-2 win.
