HOW IT HAPPENED

First Quarter – Hailey Conley opened the scoring for the Sharks, but the Eagles answered with a 7-0 run. Mackenzie Steele got NSU back on the board with a deep three-ball to answer Embry-Riddle's run. The Eagles went on an 11-0 run with just over a minute remaining, but a Kyarrah Grant jumper and a pair of Madison Frederick free throws helped Nova Southeastern go into the second quarter trailing 9-18.

Second Quarter – Frederick was fouled on the first possession of the second quarter and hit both shots from the stripe. Sarei McGill hit a foul line jumper that lowered the Sharks' deficit to 13-18 with seven and a half minutes remaining. After a three-minute scoring drought, A'lexus Bryant made a layup, Steele hit a deep-three and Skyla Osceola made a jumper to make the score 20-23 with under four minutes remaining. The Sharks went on a 7-0 run to end the half, with India Shepherd, Bryant and Conley contributing points and putting NSU into halftime down 27-31.

Third Quarter – Shepherd hit a corner three-pointer for NSU's first points of the half. Just after, the Eagles went on an 8-0 run, but back-to-back threes from Frederick and Conley ended the run. Frederick answered again with a contested mid-range to make the score 38-48 with under four minutes remaining in the quarter. Embry-Riddle went on a 10-0 run that was ended by a pair of free throws by Conley. The Sharks would go into the fourth quarter trailing 40-60.

Fourth Quarter – Shepherd got a steal-and-score on the opening inbound of the quarter. Embry-Riddle's grabbed the momentum, going on a 16-0 run before Frederick scored four consecutive points with just over four minutes remaining. On the two next possessions, Conley knocked down a corner three-ball and Frederick hit a circus layup that made it 53-77.
