FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern Baseball finished its Sunshine State Conference series opener against Rollins on Sunday, dropping the third and final game of the series, 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first four innings of the contest were a pitchers duel, with both pitchers keeping the opposing offenses at bay.
Bottom of the Fifth – Rollins got on the scoreboard with an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth inning, taking a 1-0 lead.
Bottom of the Sixth – The Tars loaded the bases with one out in the inning when Head Coach
Laz Gutierrez went to the bullpen, calling in
Michael Dillon. The right-hander escaped the jam, recording a strikeout and ending the inning with a fielder's choice.
Bottom of the Seventh – Rollins took a 2-0 lead over NSU, scoring their second run on a sacrifice fly.
Bottom of the Eighth – The Tars extended their lead to 3-0 following a solo home run.
