Sharks Walk-off for Seventh Consecutive Win

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team ran their winning streak to seven games on Saturday afternoon and completed a series sweep over the Huskies of St. Cloud State. NSU won the series finale in ten innings, 6-5, adding their second walk-off win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

Bottom of the Third – The Sharks plated three runs in the frame, taking the first lead of the game. Duncan Pastore started the scoring with a sacrifice fly, driving in MC Sagaro. Later in the inning, Adam Smith drove in both Kristian Noriega and Stephen Schissler and extended the NSU lead to 3-0.  

Bottom of the Fourth – Pastore added his second RBI of the contest, bringing in Schissler on an RBI double.  

Top of the Sixth – The Huskies put the score at 4-1 with an RBI single. 

Bottom of the Seventh – Daniel Irisarri drove in Noriega on a sacrifice fly, pushing the NSU lead to 5-1.  

Top of the Ninth – St. Cloud rallied for four runs in the last inning, tying the score at 5-5.  

Bottom of the Tenth – Nova Southeastern recorded their second walk-off victory of the winning streak, completing the series sweep on a walk-off single by Ryan Cainzos.  

UPCOMING 

Nova Southeastern hosts Davenport with the first game of a three-game series from the NSU Baseball Complex on Thursday, March 16. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
