FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Softball team won their 8th straight game on Thursday evening, taking down Kutztown and Caldwell in a doubleheader sweep. A four-run fourth inning propelled NSU to an 8-1 victory in game one, the Sharks followed that up with a 2-0 win in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP 1st | A sacrifice fly brought home the first run of the game for the Golden Bears, giving them the early lead.
BOT 2nd | With two runners on base, a fielder's choice allowed Madison Fine to come across home plate, tying the game at one.
BOT 4th | The Sharks tacked on four runs, thanks to hits from Alyssa Drogemuller, Tia Williams, and Kerstyn Shaw.
BOT 6th | Alexis Smith got the inning started with a base hit, shortly after, she stole second base. Drogemuller came to the plate in the ensuing at-bat and batted in Smith, giving NSU a 6-1 lead. A sacrifice fly from Fine and a single by Samantha Burke brought two more runners' home for NSU. The Sharks would go on to secure the 8-1 victory over Kutztown.

BOT 3rd | Kerstyn Shaw continued the impressive hitting by NSU, batting in Drogemuller to give NSU a 2-0 lead, which would prove to be the final score thanks to impressive pitching showcase from Julia Allen.
