TAMPA, FLA. – Nova Southeastern Baseball completed its three-game series against the Tampa Spartans on Saturday evening. The Sharks dropped both contests in the doubleheader, losing game one (11-1) before dropping the series finale (12-1).

HOW IT HAPPENED – Game One
Top of the First – After a single from Adam Frank, then being able to advance to second due to Duncan Pastore being hit by pitch, a double down the left field line from Kristian Noriega helped bring Frank home giving the Sharks the early 1-0 lead.
Top of the Second – Sharks loaded the bases but were unable to knock in any runs.
End of the Third – Cooper Omans was dealing early, allowing zero runs, three hits, and striking out three through the first three innings.
Bottom of the Fourth – After loading the bases, a double by the Spartans brought in three runs. Following the double, Tampa was able to bring in another off of an RBI single, giving the Spartans a 4-1 advantage.
Bottom of the Fifth – After loading the bases, the Spartans were able to bring in four more runs, increasing their lead to 8-1 over the Sharks.
Top of the Sixth – MC Sagaro singled to right field, but the Sharks were unable to capitalize off the hit. Bottom of the Sixth – Tampa added another two runs to their lead, making it 6-2 Spartans over the Sharks.
Bottom of the Seventh – A two-run home run from the Spartans brought their lead to 10-1.
Bottom of the Eighth – Tampa knocks in another run, taking an 11-1 lead over NSU. Top of the
Ninth – Sharks gave it one last shot in the ninth, but were unable to knock in any runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED – Game Two
Top of the First – Adam Frank tried to get the Sharks going early once again, but a double play ended the attempt.
Bottom of the First – After a walk and a steal, a single to left field brought home a run for the Spartans, giving them a 1-0 lead.
Bottom of the Third – After a double to open the bottom half of the inning, Tampa was able to bring in another run, increasing their lead to 2-0.
Bottom of the Fifth – A four-run fifth inning for the Spartans pushed their lead to 6-0 over NSU.
Bottom of the Sixth – Another four-run inning gives Tampa a 10-0 lead.
Top of the Seventh – After reaching third due to a series of events, Adam Frank was able to cross the plate and score the Sharks first run of the game after a sacrifice fly from Kristian Noriega.
End of the Seventh – Back-to-back home runs from the Spartans moved their lead to 12-1 over the Sharks.
