SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Softball team split a pair of games on Saturday afternoon. The Sharks came out hot in game one, pouring in five runs in the first inning en route to a 10-3 victory over the Lions. However, Saint Leo bounced back in game two and secured a 9-0 win against the Sharks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
TOP 1st | Madison Fine got it started for NSU, hitting a single down the left field line, bringing home two runs for NSU. Kerstyn Shaw wanted to join the action, batting in Tia Williams in the ensuing at-bat to give the Sharks an early 3-0 lead. With the bases loaded, Emily Thomas and Alexis Smith were walked in back-to-back at bats, tacking on two more runs for NSU.
TOP 2nd | An error by the Lions then brought in the fifth Shark run of the match.
BOT 2nd | A single to left center, brought a runner across home plate for Saint Leo.
BOT 3rd | SLU added another run on the board, cutting the NSU lead to four.
TOP 4th | The Sharks stayed aggresive, scoring four runs in the fourth inning, highlighted by an Alexis Smith double and an Alyssa Drogemuller single, giving NSU a 10-2 lead.
BOT 4th | The Lions scored off an NSU error, cutting their deficit to seven runs. Despite Saint Leo's late push, the Sharks were able to secure the SSC victory over SLU 10-3.

BOT 1st | The Lions started the match hot, batting in six runs in the first inning.
BOT 3rd | Saint Leo scored three more runs, thanks to a double to left center and a single up the middle.
TOP 4th | Tia Williams singled, putting a runner on base for NSU. However, the Sharks were unable to capitalize despite their late efforts, dropping game two 0-9.
