FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Baseball team won its 20th game of the season on Tuesday evening, defeating Palm Beach Atlantic 8-5. The Sharks were led by a four-RBI performance from Ihosvany Castañeda in the victory.

Top of the First – The Sailfish led off the game with a base-hit and jumped out to a 1-0 lead after a base-hit through the middle.
Bottom of the First – Bryce Hazzard led off the inning with a base hit through the right side and Adam Frank reached base after being hit by pitch. With one out, the Sharks took a 2-1 lead after a double to left center from Daniel Irisarri drove in both runners.
Top of the Fourth – PBA took a 3-2 lead after a two-run homerun down the right field line.
Top of the Fifth – Palm Beach Atlantic's lead was extended to 5-2 after a pair of RBI base-hits.
Bottom of the Fifth – Jarrett Hall reached on error to open the inning, and a clutch, two-run homerun to center field from Ihosvany Castañeda lowered the Sharks' deficit to 5-4 after five innings.
Bottom of the Sixth – Irisarri (1B) and Kristian Noriega (BB) reached base safely to open the inning. With one out, Derek Bermudez singled through the middle and drove in Irrisarri, tying the game 5-5. A base-hit from Hall loaded the bases for the Sharks with one down. Castañeda was clutch once again, doubling to center field and driving in Noriega and Bermudez to give NSU a 7-5 lead, its first of the game. A sacrifice fly from Hazzard drove in Hall and extended the Sharks' lead to 8-5.
Bottom of the Seventh – The game was called due to inclement weather, resulting in a 8-5 for the Sharks over the Sailfish.

The Sharks will return to the diamond on Friday, April 28 for a three-game series with Barry at the NSU Baseball Complex. First-pitch is set for 6 p.m.
