Head Coach
Matt Watts - We started so well, played some great soccer and deserved to be up 2-0. As the game went on, Coker gained momentum and we failed to capitalize on our lead. We have to dust ourselves off and move onto the next one.
- Andrade got the action started four minutes into the match, striking a penalty kick into the back of the net to give NSU an early 1-0 lead.
- In the 18th minute, Oherwall joined the action, scoring the Sharks second goal of the match to extend the Sharks lead.
- The Cobras responded, scoring four goals in the first half, giving themselves a 4-2 advantage.
- Coker struck again towards the end of the match, bringing the score to 5-2.
The Sharks stayed aggressive but couldn't overcome the deficit, dropping tonight's season opener 5-2.
