FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Tabea Schütt lasered one in late to give the Sharks a lead in the 73rd minute. Stefane Rosa and the Sharks' defense hunkered down the rest of the way to lead the team to victory. Nova Southeastern takes down Florida Tech 1-0 Saturday night in the Sharks' first SSC match of the season.

In the 8th minute, Emery Biggs had an opportunity to get the Sharks on the board early, but her attempt was knocked away by the Panthers' goalkeeper.

In the 39th minute, Stefane Rosa made a massive save to keep the game knotted at 0-0.

In the early portion of the second half, Tabea Schütt and Saga Bjorling saw potential scoring chances, but the Panthers' goalkeeper swatted away both of their shots.

In the 73rd minute, Tabea Schütt fired one into the back of the net, finally breaking the scoreless tie, and giving the Sharks a 1-0 lead in the back-half of the second half.

In the closing ten minutes of the match, Stefane Rosa faced numerous shots, but denied them all from crossing the goal line.

Stefane Rosa recorded five saves, completing her third shutout victory on the season.

Coach Amy Vaughan – The group faced a very tough opening day conference opponent today in FIT. The team stuck together and came away with a great result. We're proud of their performance and are looking forward to preparing for Lynn next week.
