FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A second half goal from Dani Correa and a dominant showing from Stefane Rosa and the Sharks' defense led the way to a gritty NSU victory. The Nova Southeastern Sharks take down the Barry Buccaneers 1-0 Wednesday night from the NSU Soccer Stadium.

The Sharks' offense started attacking early, with Tabea Schütt (2) and Emery Biggs attempting shots-on-goal in the opening five minutes, but their attempts were swatted away.

Towards the end of the first half, Stefane Rosa faced her first two shots of the night and denied both Buccaneers' tries.

Picking up where she left off at the end of the first half, Rosa faced another two shots in the opening minutes of the second half but denied both.

In the 58th minutes, the Sharks got on the board after Dani Correa drilled one into the back of the net, giving the Sharks a 1-0 lead.

In the 74th minute, Rosa faced her toughest shot of the night, as the ball was pinned high in the left corner, but it was no issue for Rosa, who snatched it out of the air, holding the Sharks' 1-0 lead.

Following Rosa's huge save, Luana Grabias went right down the field and fired off a shot but was swiped away by the Buccaneers' goalkeeper.

Stefane Rosa recorded six saves, completing her fifth shutout victory (fourth consecutive) on the season.

Coach Amy Vaughan – Tonight's game asked a lot of questions about the team, they faced a lot of adversity with the weather delay, conditions and the emotions of a local rival game. The girls pulled together and got a good result against a strong Barry team.
