MELBOURNE, Fla. – No. 3 Nova Southeastern took on the Panthers of Florida Tech on Saturday afternoon in Sunshine State Conference action. The Sharks battled through a difficult outing from the field, falling for the second time on the 2023-24 season, dropping the contest 90-80.

First Half – Florida Tech started the Sunshine State Conference matchup on a 16-3 run, as the Sharks struggled to get much going on offense. Following the midway point of the first half,
MJ Iraldi recorded a steal and set up a fastbreak bucket for
Isaiah Fuller, before Iraldi added a layup of his own, cutting the deficit to 16-9. The Sharks trailed for the remainder of the half and went into the break trailing 42-27.
Second Half – Following the break, Nova Southeastern opened the second half on an 8-3 run, cutting the deficit to 45-35. NSU and Florida Tech traded baskets back-and-forth but the Sharks weren't able to take advantage of the momentum, as at the midway point of the second half, Nova Southeastern trailed 61-45. NSU continued to attempt the comeback, but the Panthers held off the Sharks late charge, as the Sharks were defeated by Florida Tech 90-80.

No. 3 Nova Southeastern returns to the Shark Tank to host the Eckerd Triton in Sunshine State Conference action on Wednesday, January 17. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
