LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After a record breaking 2023 season, the Nova Southeastern Softball team was tabbed fifth in the 2024 NFCA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll.  

NSU is one of three Sunshine State Conference teams ranked within the top-25 -  Nova Southeastern (5th), Tampa (10th), and Saint Leo (18th). 

The 2024 NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee. The committee consists of 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA's eight regions. The first poll of the regular season will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 13 and every Tuesday at noon ET throughout the regular season. 

All-SSC selections Alexis Smith, Ryleigh Langwell, Alyssa Drogemuller, and Kerstyn Shaw look to lead the charge for the Sharks in the 2024 season.  

NSU will kick off the season with six consecutive road games before heading back to the AD Griffin Sports Complex for their home opener against the Colorado School of Mines on Saturday, February 10th.  

The Sharks begin SSC play on Friday, February 16th, taking on Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla.
