How it Happened

Aubrey Stupp capped off the run with a layup to send the Sharks into the second quarter with a 22-11 lead. The Tars battled back and brought their deficit to five points but back-to-back buckets from Zeyno Seren and Scales put the Sharks back up 10. With two seconds left in the half, India Shepherd knocked down a three-pointer to extend NSU's lead to 13 heading into the break.

Second Half – At the 4:00 minute mark, a quick 8-0 run capped off by a three-pointer from Scales gave the Sharks a 22-point lead, their biggest lead of the game. The offensive onslaught continued as back-to-back buckets from Alana Ellis and Terrell sent the Sharks into the final frame with a 62-41 lead. Coach's Corner

Head Coach LeAnn Freeland-Curry: We had a great team win today. It was nice to see us knock down threes, share the ball well, and limit turnovers. We worked a lot on passing this week in practice and it showed in the game today. Our players do a great job hearing constructive criticism and making changes.
